Why am I running in the Likud primaries?
First thank you all for taking the time to read my post. I was also wondering what party I wanted to run with. It turns out the only two parties with “supposedly” open primaries are “Meretz,” aka the “Democratic” Party, and Likud. The RZ party had some kind of primary, but they wouldn't allow just anyone in, and they put up artificial hurdles. Meretz (Democrat) party is clearly not my cup of tea, so clearly only Likud was a possibility. When someone has a choice of either being involved in the only primary one can join or sitting on the sidelines and complaining, I choose getting involved. Sure, it is much easier to critique, criticize, comment, or complain. Is that beneficial? What does all this negativity accomplish? I am a person who truly loves Am Yisrael. I love all Jews. Even when I don't agree with them.
I was asked why I joined Likud. My answer is that if you truly want to make a difference, you need to run and do your part to share ideas and to make things happen. I have the ability to get things done.
I also believe in representative government; in other words, our elected officials need to listen to the people who elected them. I get the feeling that a lot of elected officials, the minute they are elected, forget the little guy. The elected officials all of a sudden become too big to deal with the needs of their constituents! This is not only absurd but totally unacceptable!
I, as your representative, will deal with your issues and get the wheels of government working better for you and your family and all my constituents!
